Information
CLAIRETTE 2000/35 is a combination hormonal contraceptive pill designed for use by women to prevent pregnancy. It contains two active ingredients: 2000 micrograms of a progestogen and 35 micrograms of an estrogen. This combination works by preventing ovulation, altering the cervical mucus to make it difficult for sperm to reach an egg, and changing the lining of the uterus to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. As with other oral contraceptives, it is typically taken once daily, with adherence to the prescribed schedule being crucial for its effectiveness. CLAIRETTE 2000/35 is also sometimes prescribed for other conditions, such as managing menstrual disorders or acne, under the guidance of a healthcare provider.
