Information
DAURISMO, also known by its generic name glasdegib, is a prescription medication used in the treatment of certain types of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), specifically for patients who are 75 years of age or older or who have other health conditions that preclude the use of standard chemotherapy. It belongs to a class of drugs known as hedgehog pathway inhibitors, which work by blocking the signals that cancer cells need to grow and divide. DAURISMO is often used in combination with low-dose cytarabine, another chemotherapy drug, to enhance its effectiveness. As with any cancer treatment, it comes with a range of potential side effects, and its use must be carefully monitored by a healthcare professional.
