Information
Doxadura is a medication primarily used in the management and treatment of hypertension, or high blood pressure, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which is an enlargement of the prostate gland in men. The active ingredient in Doxadura is doxazosin, which belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha-blockers. Doxazosin works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland, making it easier to urinate and helping to alleviate symptoms of BPH. In the case of hypertension, it functions by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily, thereby lowering blood pressure. Doxadura is typically administered in tablet form and is available in various dosages. As with any medication, it is important to follow the prescribing doctor's instructions and be aware of potential side effects, which can include dizziness, fatigue, and headaches among others.
