Naramig, known generically as naratriptan, is a medication primarily used in the treatment of migraine headaches. It belongs to a class of drugs known as triptans, which work by narrowing blood vessels around the brain and reducing substances in the body that can trigger headache pain, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and other migraine symptoms. Naratriptan is effective in relieving migraine symptoms but is not used to prevent future attacks or lessen the number of migraines. It is typically taken at the onset of a migraine headache to reduce the severity of the attack. Naramig is available in tablet form and is prescribed for use in adults who have been diagnosed with migraine headaches, with or without aura.
