Information
Naseptin is a topical cream commonly used for the treatment and prevention of nasal infections, particularly those caused by bacteria. It contains two active ingredients: chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, which is an antiseptic that kills bacteria, and neomycin sulfate, an antibiotic that prevents the growth of bacteria. Naseptin is often prescribed to treat and prevent infections in the nasal vestibule, the area just inside the nostrils, and can be used following nasal surgery to prevent secondary infections. It is applied directly inside the nose, usually several times a day, as directed by a healthcare professional. Patients are advised to follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment to ensure effectiveness and reduce the risk of resistance.
