Information
Rekovelle is a fertility medication used to stimulate egg production in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). It contains the active ingredient follitropin delta, which is a recombinant form of the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). FSH is a naturally occurring hormone that plays a crucial role in the growth and development of ovarian follicles, which are necessary for ovulation. Rekovelle is administered through subcutaneous injections, and its dosage is tailored to the individual's response, which is determined by measuring the woman's serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels and body weight. This personalized approach aims to optimize the stimulation process, improving the chances of successful egg retrieval while minimizing the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), a potential side effect of fertility treatments.
