Information
SUNYA 20/75 is a type of combined oral contraceptive pill, commonly used for birth control. It contains two active ingredients: ethinylestradiol, a synthetic version of the female hormone estrogen, and gestodene, a synthetic form of the hormone progesterone. Together, these hormones work to prevent ovulation, thicken cervical mucus to block sperm, and alter the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg. SUNYA 20/75 is typically taken once daily for 21 days followed by a 7-day pill-free break, during which a withdrawal bleed similar to a period occurs. It is prescribed not only for preventing pregnancy but also to help regulate menstrual cycles, reduce menstrual cramps, and manage conditions like acne or heavy menstrual bleeding in some cases.
