Information
Taltz, also known by its generic name ixekizumab, is a prescription medication used for the treatment of several chronic inflammatory conditions, including moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults and children who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy, active psoriatic arthritis in adults, and active ankylosing spondylitis in adults. It belongs to a class of drugs known as interleukin inhibitors, specifically targeting interleukin-17A (IL-17A), a protein that plays a key role in inflammation. By inhibiting the action of IL-17A, Taltz helps to reduce the inflammatory responses that contribute to the symptoms of these conditions. It is administered through subcutaneous injection and is designed for use under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
