Information
TAPTIQOM is a prescription eye drop medication primarily used in the treatment of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It is a combination of two active ingredients: tafluprost, a prostaglandin analog, and timolol, a beta-blocker. These components work together to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) in the eyes, which can help prevent further eye damage or vision loss associated with these conditions. Tafluprost increases the outflow of aqueous humor, a fluid in the eye, thereby lowering the eye pressure. Timolol decreases the production of aqueous humor. TAPTIQOM is typically recommended for patients when monotherapy does not sufficiently control eye pressure. As with any medication, it is important to use TAPTIQOM under the guidance of a healthcare professional to ensure its safe and effective use.
