Information
TEPMETKO, with the generic name tepotinib, is a prescription medication designed to treat a specific type of lung cancer known as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has spread to other parts of the body. It is specifically indicated for patients whose cancer cells have a mutation in the MET gene, known as MET exon 14 skipping mutations. TEPMETKO belongs to a class of drugs known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), which work by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to slow or stop the growth of cancer cells. TEPMETKO is taken orally in tablet form and its use should be initiated under the guidance of a healthcare professional experienced in the treatment of cancer.
