Information
Triapin is a combination medication used primarily in the management and treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains two active ingredients: ramipril and felodipine. Ramipril belongs to a class of drugs known as ACE inhibitors (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme inhibitors), which help to relax blood vessels and reduce blood pressure by inhibiting the production of a chemical that normally makes blood vessels tighter. Felodipine is a type of medication known as a calcium channel blocker, which helps to lower blood pressure by preventing calcium from entering the cells of the heart and blood vessel walls, leading to relaxation and dilation of blood vessels. Together, these medications work synergistically to effectively lower blood pressure, improving blood flow and reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and other heart-related complications in patients with hypertension.
