Information
TRUMENBA is a vaccine designed to protect against invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroup B. Neisseria meningitidis, commonly known as meningococcus, can lead to serious and potentially life-threatening infections such as meningitis and septicemia. TRUMENBA works by stimulating the body's immune system to produce antibodies against the meningococcus serogroup B bacteria, thereby providing immunity against this particular strain. It is typically recommended for individuals in certain age groups or those at increased risk of meningococcal disease. The vaccine is administered in a series of injections according to a schedule recommended by health authorities. Like all vaccines, TRUMENBA can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them, and they are generally mild and temporary.
